AI Seminar at CUT Library
The Cyprus University of Technology Library, in collaboration with the Cyprus Association of Librarians and Information Scientists (CALIS), organized on 10 October 2025, the conference entitled “Keeping up with AI Technologies: Reimagining the Role of Information Specialists”.
The seminar was addressed to academics, librarians, researchers and information professionals and its purpose was to highlight the challenges and opportunities arising from the integration of AI in the information sector. Through presentations and discussions, it aims to highlight ways in which information professionals can develop their skills based on innovation, responsibility and the ethical use of new technologies.
In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the production, management and access to information, information professionals are called upon to redefine their role. The need for continuous training and adaptation to new technologies is becoming imperative in order to ensure effective support for the academic and research community.
